Regina and Akbar just had their Carlsbad Flower Fields Wedding in Southern California, I mean who wouldn’t want to get married in a sea of colorful flowers and blooms? Even with the gloomy skies above, Regina and Akbar’s day was nothing short of magical. Regina and Akbar both are doctors and have actually provided medicine in other countries less fortunate than our own. One such opportunity, was to serve in South Africa, an experience they treasured and won’t soon forget. They brought back small tokens of Africa to incorporate into their wedding and reception. Also, being environmentally conscious, almost all of there details were re-purposed or found objects, which we both loved. Their ceremony and reception were both held at the popular and exclusive Flower Fields in Carlsbad, California. Regina and Akbar were so very kind to us and we are so thankful they chose us to capture their story. Here is a quick look at their wedding day.

Not much else to say except that Bradleigh simply ROCKED this photo session! Early in the process of preparing, we learned that Bradleigh is tall, extremely beautiful and is aspiring to be a model. As photographers, we got really excited about the possibilities and she did not disappoint! We continued to dig a little deeper and also learn from Bradleigh, that she absolutely loves of country music. Our creative wheels continue to turn… We go back and fourth learning more information about Bradleigh, just listening to her describe herself and things that she likes and eventually we form a concept; a script to set the mood and tone for her Senior Portrait.

Bradleigh is driving through the desert after a difficult break up with her boyfriend (Just like most country music videos, right?) She jumps in her pickup and drives to California with nothing more than a blue suitcase, an extra pair of boots and a cowboy hat. Unfortunately, her truck isn’t so cooperative and breaks down in the middle of nowhere. Without phone service and being hundreds of miles away from anyone she knows, she (naturally) figures her best option is to grab her stuff and find a nearby town for some help.

And of course a country music video wouldn’t be complete without a long black formal dress in the middle of a dry lake bed right? Yeah we didn’t think so either… Enjoy!

We had the pleasure of doing a Senior Portrait Session in Downtown Riverside, California at the Mission Inn with the lovely Yazmin. We were so excited to have another session with her, she is such a great girl! Her sisters and mom came along too and were such a great help. They even carried our bags for us how sweet is that! Don’t worry, that’s not normal, we don’t force any of our clients carry our bags, haha!

We started the day at the Historic Mission Inn in Downtown Riverside, CA and ended up walking completely around the historic block that surrounds it. We diligently explored all the nooks and cranny’s to find some unique areas and angles to showcase this beautiful Senior. Then, we headed to Ontario where we have a couple of favorite locations and buildings with cool textures and colors. We finished just as the sun was going down, perfect way to a wrap up a really fun day! Here are just a few of the images from our session with Yazmin….
